Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre

People We Work With

KDCHC provides services to people living in the downtown Kitchener area and to New Canadians and Aboriginal People living in Kitchener or Waterloo. While KDCHC works with the whole community, we know that some groups experience barriers in accessing health services. Youth, seniors, low-income families, new Canadians, Aboriginal people, and the homeless experience unique barriers to accessing health services. KDCHC works to help overcome those barriers.

In general, the people who come through our doors are dealing with a health or social issue. They could be looking for help getting an OHIP number, wanting to connect with other parents, getting regular medical care for a chronic disease, learning about the health conditions a family member might be dealing with, or finding a way to contribute their unique skills to make the community healthier.

KDCHC has a limited capacity to provide primary health care services. There are times when we will be taking new clients and other times when we will not. Please contact the Community Health Centre to find out if we are taking new clients.

Many of our health promotion and community development programs and activities are open to anyone living in the Kitchener-Waterloo. Please feel free to call if you have any questions or for more information.
